MSc in Global Sustainable Development is ideal for those with a background in sustainability or a related degree, building on existing knowledge to explore global and sector-specific approaches to sustainable development.
The course provides a critical understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), examining how sustainability is interpreted across regions and sectors. Students will explore the roles of individuals, communities, and institutions, and develop skills in research methods, analysis, and evidence-based argumentation.
After building a shared foundation in sustainability concepts and methodologies, students focus on sectoral responses to sustainability challenges and critically assess progress toward the SDGs. The programme concludes with an independent research project on a topic of the student’s choice.
