Do you have plans to continue your studies abroad and do you need to pass an exam for that?And the university you are entering into will suggest to you which specific exam you need to take. However, several international exams are almost always required by foreign universities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s figure it out:<\/span><\/p>\n

TOEFL, IELTS, SAT<\/span><\/p>\n

The most popular international exams for university entrance abroad are TOEFL or IELTS.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both exams are language exams: one is British, the other is American.<\/span><\/p>\n

TOEFL lasts 4 hours and is taken in one day. IELTS lasts two days, the first day is a 2 hour 45 minute written exam and the second day is a 10-15 minute oral exam.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SAT is designed to test a high school students\u2019 readiness for college.<\/span><\/p>\n

It lasts 2 hours 14 minutes and consists of 3 sections: reading, writing and speaking, and mathematics.<\/span><\/p>\n

GMAT, GRE, ACT<\/span><\/p>\n

GMAT and GRE are the standard exams that undergraduate students take to continue their studies in advanced programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tests are similar, they check the level of English, analytical, and mathematical thinking and the exam results remain valid for 5 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The GMAT is designed for continuing education in business and economics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, the GRE is accepted by a small number of universities and schools, but it is suitable for admission to master’s programs in other areas, for example from quantum physics to literature.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The GMAT takes 3 hours 7 minutes and the GRE takes 3 hours 45 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ACT has four sections: English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. It is evaluated on a scale from 1 to 36. One point is awarded for each correct answer, no point is counted for an error.<\/span><\/p>\n
